Play box
We want to develop, test and scale simple measures that will increase the attractiveness of public spaces for children aged 3-18, support neighborhood camaraderie and community life, and thus improve the accessibility of Bratislava’s smallest population to cognitive asocial development – that is, to play.
The game box 1.0 is a simple plastic box full of games that anyone can take out of the box, play, and then return after the game is over, so that anyone else can use these games. We started lending the playbox to communities. Based on the positive feedback, we decided to continue and expand the play boxes into the public space. We prepared boxes 2.0, which are a bit more durable. We are currently testing boxes in three public spaces – Nezábudková inner block (Bratislava – Ružinov), Námestie slobody (Bratislava – Staré Mesto) and Šuňavcova x Sibírska x Ursíny inner block (Bratislava – Nové Mesto).
