Community Play Street
The idea behind Community Play Streets is to organize them by the neighborhood itself. It is an organisationally low-maintenance version of the event, where the streets don’t have to have food stalls or DJs. It is the aspect of children playing freely outdoors, in a safe environment and close to their home that is important. It is an effort to extend the idea of the City for Children to neighbourhoods, to add opportunities for community gatherings in public spaces such as streets.
